The processing of iron has a long tradition in the Stubai Valley. The area iron mines were of such high quality that in the 14th century blacksmiths in Fulpmes were already producing hand tools. Made in Tyrol Austria. Broad Axe design, for hewing logs and ease of flattening any surface. 4-3/4" blade width, head weight of 2lb and the handle is 15" inches overall and is made of Ash. The edge features a single bevel on the left hand side, blade is flat on the right hand side.The brand name "Stubai" stands for quality and workmanship.
