- Take off the painted door cover. The tab on the inside is to be pulled out not pushed in.Don’t try to reach around the bottom and push on things.Use small flat blade screwdriver, just use a couple of screw drivers from the front and gently depress and work your way into the clip. You only need to displace the 3 o’clock and then pivot it out.Screw in the hinge and top assembly before attaching the spring or it will cause the too to go sideways and not allow the screw to go in and strip out.
